Clyde Williams

Clyde enlisted in the navy in February, 1957, and
went to boot camp in San Diego.  Then went to Treasure
Island for Class A radar school.  Returned to San
Diego and joined the Parks as an SARD in October,
1957.

He made 3 West Pact cruises while on the Parks.  In
1958 cruise, went to New Zealand, and crossed the
equator and became a Shellback.  On the way back,
went to Eniwetok and got to see an atomic bomb
explosion and an atomic depth charge explosion.

When he left the Parks, he was leading Petty Officer
of OI Division and also postman.  He was RD 2.

He spent 39 months on the Parks and was discharged
in February 1961.
